Rosemarie and Robyn Third
in Guinness National Pint Master
Championships 2008
Our pourers were beaten to the top spots by Ross Feeney and Jim Griffiths from Pog Mahone's Irish Bar in Queenstown and Mandy Martin and Malcolm Fox from The Clare Inn in Auckland.
A grand effort for the pair from little ol' Masterton!
Rosemarie and Robyn were first equal in Wellington Heats and runner-up with the most points in New Zealand securing a place in the finals. The competition is in two parts, the Perfect Pour and the Creative Pour.
For the creative pour they created 'Aotearoa Guinness' - Guinness and Lemon & Paeroa. Lemon & Paeroa puts a touch of sweetness to your taste buds on the side of you tongue.
Why did we chose to do this? Lemon & Paeroa is a world famous New Zealand icon soft drink and Guinness is Ireland's best, therefore bringing a unique mix between two countries.
'Aotearoa Guinness' will be the signature Guinness Pint on March 17th 2008 St Patrick's Day here at Joxer Daly's.
So come on down to Joxer Daly's for an 'Aotearoa Guinness' and find out what a perfect pour looks like!
